Some thoughts about radios in extreme environments.

The only thing I like about the SGC 2020 is it's a tank.  As far as CW is
concerned, the SGC is... well... simply not good.  It's a passable SSB rig
so when I have lots of non-hams on the trip, I'll bring it and suffer.
I've been reluctant to use a K2 for this purpose because I'm afraid I'll
bust it into a million pieces.

So when the K1, or KX1 finds its way into my backpack, the weight and
volume triples as I'm forced to protect it in a Pelican case.  Anything
less than this results in dents, dings, busted potentiometers, cracked
displays and the like.

I'm still longing for a compact and durable solution to this vexing
problem.
