[Elecraft] Question about using Icom AH-4 with K2 + solder question

Good Morning!

I took the plunge and ordered a K2 yesterday, but have two questions =
while I'm waiting for it to arrive.

I just ordered the basic rig to start and will add on as I go, but in =
the meantime, is there any way to affix a control cable to the K2 to =
operate an ICOM AH-4 remote ATU?

It's hooked to the only antenna I have and would be convenient to use =
until I order the internal K2 ATU later.

Secondly, what's the deal with solder?  The manual says Kester "44" =
60/40 and specifically says don't use anything with a silver content =
(unless told to do so).  But in many places on the Elecraft site it =
mentions using the Kester 45 series clean solder with a 2% silver =
content (one place was the March, 2000 QST review). Should I get some or =
has the solder thinking been revised over the years?

This will be my first "thanks" to you all with many more to come as I =
progress. Exciting times are right around the corner!
