Non-Problem fixed!

I found that even though I had changed the PF1 and PF2 menu selections 
to other than FPon, the flashing "F" was still there.  It was not clear 
to me that I still needed to press and hold the PF1 and PF2 buttons 
untill the FP on/off toggled on the display.

A message posted to this list by Wayne on July 5 2001 explaining how to 
turn it ON, led me to try holding the PF1 and PF2 buttons to toggle 
FastPlay. OFF.
