Well, my K2 is over 3000 but, for what it's worth, all of the caps you
mention are 47 pf not 470 pf in my radio. I suspect someone goofed.
Why not try substituting 47 pf for the 470 pf caps and see what that
does for performance.

Subject: [Elecraft] Need help with K2 capacitor

I'm going through my K2 with the magnifiers on, checking on the
components
in the low-pass filter sections trying to resolve a low output problem
(K2
#1987 built by previous owner). In the 30/20 meter filter (two of the
bands
with a problem), I find that C203 should be 47 pf according to the
schematic, but there's a 470 pf installed. In the component parts list
for
the RF board, C20, C24, C73, and C203 are all identified as 47 pf, but
the
builder penciled in 470 in the description area and I find that 470s are
installed in all those positions. Can anyone tell me if that was a
production change or were the wrong values installed in my rig? Many
thanks
for any help you can provide.

73, Floyd - K8AC
