Can you hear the L.O. oscillating on about 22 MHz on a nearby receiver,
Dave? You should be able to hear it loud and clear on any receiver in the
shop with the transverter.
Next, check the voltages at Q1 as shown in Appx B, Troubleshooting. They
should be Collector to Ground = 8.5 v, Emitter to ground 3.6 v and Base to
ground about 4.1 volts, thereabouts.
Q2, the buffer amp is Collector = 6.5 volts, Emitter = 0 volts (it's
grounded) and Base = 0.25 to about 0.8 volts.
If the oscillator is oscillating and the problem seems to be in Q2, take a
hard look at T1. If the voltages in Q2 and Q1 look right, take a very hard
looks to see if your have T1 wound correctly.

I started the test and alignment for my 6m transverter
last night and couldn't get a read out from TP1 -
local oscillator. This should read 1V DC, but reads
0V - no AC either. I have put a jumper on JP9 pins
1-2, so that isn't the problem.
Any ideas?
