[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Announcement

Hi, Kevin:=20

Lou, W7DZN, and I were chatting about that the other night. He agreed =
that
it's very unusual for a QSO at 25+ wpm to go without a "fluffed" =
character
every so often, but those contest exchanges go on and on without a burp.
Highly suspicious<G>.=20

I've sometimes wondered if I got out my bug, purposely sent extra long
dashes, and jumped into a contest just how many other ops would give up =
-
not because CW with the wrong element spaces is all THAT hard to copy, =
but
because the automated code readers would be printing gibberish <G>.=20

While I can send at 25 or 30 WPM for long periods of time, it's W-O-R-K
compared to 20 wpm and I do make a lot more mistakes. So I loaf along, =
more
ops can follow me, and I don't have to put so much effort into it <G>=20

Howdy Ron,=20
Thanks for the enlightenment :) I was thinking they were capable of
working much=20
faster QSOs than I. But in reality that may not be the case. I'd much
rather talk to=20
folks since they are such a varied lot. It was like that mechanical
contester you=20
described to me. Poor Jeeves had to oil and power the think while the
Master was=20
sipping his sherry. I think I will stick to my path in life and =
continue
working traffic. We=20
have an SET coming up where we get points for passing as much traffic as =
we
can in a=20
certain time frame. That will be a test of the skills I've learned so =
far.

See you all a bit later,
        Kevin. KD5ONS
