[Elecraft] KSB2 Increased Gain Modification

This mod is for those who do not think the KSB2 has enough gain.  First you 
should consider using a mike with an electrotet element for increased 
amplification.  You should also consider the KI6WX mod to the KSB2 board.  It intails 
wiring a PN2222 (2N2222) transistor on the board and reversing a couple of 
connections.  I installed this mod in 7-02 and found very adequate gain (even on 
10 meters).  I am using the Heil MH-2 mike.  I get very good audio reports and 
my Bird wattmeter confirms increased power (without distortion or increased 
bandwidth).  For me, this is a must have mod.  Roy Morris  W4WFB  K2/100 #2225
