Not to mention that the unmodified FT-1000MP has the worst keyclicks of
any present-day commercial rig on the air.  My MP's clicks took up 5 kHz
(+/- 2.5 kHz) of the band when it was new.  Reduced to +/-800 Hz with the
INRAD "keying improvement" mod.  Reduced to +/-300 Hz with the W8JI key
click mod.

IC-756PRO2s are also bad (+/- 1 kHz) unless the user softens up the CW
waveform one notch in the menu.

My K2 has clicks +/-1.5 kHz, so I don't use it in contests.  On 10 Sept
2003, Wayne posted a message that he came up with a mod that
significantly reduced the keying bandwidth and was going to collaborate
with Eric about it.  I volunteeered as a beta tester for the mod, but
haven't heard anything about it since then.
