K2 Problem Solved!! 

Well, the cause was... allowing a friend to borrow it to make comparative measurements (voltage readings, etc) with his. He had helped me diagnose another small problem with my k2, and he kept it a while longer to take some comparative measurements on the oscilliscope for various things. Well, he must have set C21 and C23 back to their midpoints. I turned them a bit and immediately I had signals come up! I followed the alignment procedure and now I have power up and it sounds "normal". Whew! Glad that it was only that... 

Now.. was it mistakenly set back to their midpoints.. or November sweepstakes is around the corner and we are competing against eachother for more countries worked.. hehehe.. nah, he'd never do that!! :)
