[Elecraft] K1/KX1 easy tuning strategy

  Dear friends,

   I have a revolutionary concept to reveal to the
group!  Please consider it not in haste, but allow
some reflective period to absorb its ramifications:

   When tuning either of these rigs, I have discovered
(Eureka!) that if I rest my fingertip (tm) on the
front face of the (unadorned) tuning knob, with light
to moderate pressure, it STAYS IN PLACE while I
describe a circular motion with my finger. Thus, I can
readily travel to distant frequencies, with nary a
fimple to hinder my finger's freeedom to roam about
said knob-face.

   AND, as an added bonus, I don't have to waste
precious tuning-time searching the knob for the
appropriate contact-point for my fingertip (R), as
this technique has been shown, in independent tests,
to work anywhere along the perimeter of the knob's
forward-facing plane.
