[Elecraft] Where's the KX1 feedback?

Inside :-)

Between the inside of the front panel and the side of the PCB that faces it,
near the right side as you look at the control panel in normal orientation.
Not much room, but some.

This would NOT be a kit, obviously, as it is only SMT and very, very small,
using a thin PCB (0.020" to 0.031" thick) about 0.7" by 1.0" and the whole
module would be about 0.2" thick. It could be thinner if the X and Y
dimensions were enlarged to accommodate the Flash memory that would
otherwise sit on the PCB underneath the DSP chip. Applying an Analog
Devices AD73422 chip to the task (too bad they never made the '73522, it was
to have had internal Flash, or even better the 73511 which was to be 10%
cheaper!) would result in 70 to 100 mW of additional power consumption if
things were carefully done, power tapped from the battery pack at the 3V
level to save voltage regulator loss, etc.

I am not suggesting that I am working on such a project - I am NOT - or that
it is practical, or desirable. Only that it *is* feasible.

Enjoy!
