[Elecraft] K2 Front panel assembly problem

I'm building K2 #3490 and have run into a problem with the front panel 
assembly.  On page 30 of the manual, first step on the right hand 
column, it says "Insert the front panel PC board assembly into the front 
panel.  The pushbutton switch caps on both sides of the LCD should 
protrude slightly as shown in the side view..."  The switches above the 
mic jack on my unit do not protrude at all.  The problem appears to be 
that the shoulder on the mic jack is too big to fit through the hole in 
the front panel.

I used the spacer tool when installing the switches and have double 
checked that there is a 1/16" gap between the bottom of the switches and 
the PC board.  The bottom of the mic jack is flat against the PC board.

Looking at the pictures on PA3CEV's web site

it looks like the shoulder on the mic jack is supposed to fit through 
the hole in the front panel.  And indeed, if the hole in the front panel 
were bigger, it would allow the mic jack and switches to protrude just 
the right amount.

Anyone else run into this problem?
