[Elecraft] K2 A to B mods parts removal - solder popper

Just received my Popper too, and have the same question.
Can't seem to get the pump out without fear of breaking something.
It is in there tight.
Anyone know the secret?

I just received mine in the mail.  Looks easier to use and maintain than

Question: Instructions say "Periodically clean the pump by taking it out
and unscrewing the bottom cover".  I see the bottom cover, but how do
you "take out" the pump?
