My favorite is the Brown Brothers straight key (no longer manufactured)
because it has no sideplay - it uses a wide flexible metal strap for the
hinge.  My next favorite is the old J-38 that I used as a novice.  I cleaned
it up and had the movable arm re-plated about 4 years ago - it is still in
use on its new walnut base - the original disappeared many years ago.
