Trevor,

I have the same German key, inherited from my father who was licensed in
1946. We had 400,000 foreign soldiers here in '45, some 15-20% of the
total population here at that time, so no wonder there was plenty of
surplus German equipment. 

You can find it as 9480 GERMAN T-1 TELEGRAPH KEY on
http://www.w1tp.com/m9600.htm. Text reads "Vor dem Offnen Stecker
Herausziehen" = Unplug before opening. 

Not a very good key in my opinion, but nice for its history!
