Same fellow has one of my personal favorites, the
26003A "Navy" key:
http://www.webx.dk/oz2cpu/key45.htm
He says it's from England, but I believe these were
U.S.=20
In fact, the first three letters in the nomenclature
(his is CMI) stands for the manufacturer. Mine is
a CJB - Bunnell, an old telegraph mfr. CMI stands
for Moulded Insulator Co, according to Perera:

Anyway, the mushroom knob is very comfortable to use
and you can even use this key without having to mount
it on a base, if you don't have a heavy touch.
Unfortunately the contacts in mine are tarnished and
need cleaning, and I need to figure out how to get
the works out to do so. Last Straight Key
Night (New Year's eve) I had to switch to a J37...
I don't collect keys, but I do browse Ebay for=20
interesting pictures (insane prices, too). It's=20
nice that the K1 and K2 accept straight keys in
the menu setting. Sure would be nice if they could
work up a circuit which would allow people to plug
in a 2-conductor plug, though, since that's mostly
what I have wired to the straight keys around here.
