[Elecraft] carrying k2 on plane

I flew to Las Vegas in June '02.  I had in my carry on bag a W32A along
with a mag-mount antenna and coax etc.  The screener at DFW sent my bag
thru the xray several times, then turned it on its side and sent it thru
several more times.  He never did ask me to open the bag!

After the dust has settled on this topic a few months ago, what is the
outcome of taking a k2 with internal battery on a flight from north
carolina
to the west coast? Is it allowed? What about carrying a 40 meter dipole
with
coax etc?
