Go with the inverted L, but make a section of the horizontal skirt around
the edge of your roof to get the extra length for 80 and especially 160.  At
those low bands, it does not matter if some of the antenna is horizontal,
then vertical and horizontal again. It may or may not be a DX chaser, but
winter is the only time that is really doable on those bands.
