Well folks, I've gotten a bit more information on the strike(s) that took
out my hamshack.
The strike positions are provided by STRIKEnet with data gathered from the
National Lightning Detection Network. The NLDN typically produces
lightning strikes locations that are on average with 500 meters of the
actual physical strike location. This accuracy can vary slightly as you
approach the fringe of the network (i.e. near the coastlines). The times
of these two strikes are definately when I noted the two most disturbing
strikes. (flash and boom at the same instant - sounded like someone had
fired a shotgun right next to my ears while flashing a photo strobe in my
eyes at the same time.)
