Stuart,

1.	If you do clean with alcohol, what alcohol would you use?
Methylated spirits? Denatured alcohol?
2.	If the board is cleaned in this way, would you spray it with
lacquer to prevent oxidation?

Many thanks

Kevin

Rick,
Either don't clean, or if you have some excess flux, the alcohol method
is the least intrusive one to K2 components. Most of us do not clean
any more; instead I use Multicore solders, which have 5 tiny cores of
flux and do not leave gobs of flux like cheap solders do, (and some well
known expensive ones).

Most of the joints you will make, if made with care will not require
defluxing. You can do more damage than good with solvents and board
cleaning. 73, Stuart K5KVH also NASA qualified on soldering
