Yes, we are already on it. Almost all rigs today show the supressed carrier
frequency, so hams would have to set that 1.4 or 1.5 kHz lower. The marine
channels use 1.4 kHz, but some standards use 1.5, with the premise being
that there is no significant energy below 100 Hz, so it is best to protect
the upper edge, as the upper limits of the transmitter may not be as closely
controlled.
I would expect to see ARRL info on this on the web page earlier rather than
later. I am not on the Elecraft reflector, so George, will you please
repost this there?
