Go with the 4 band choice.  You always need options.
Don't lock yourself into just a couple of bands.

I wanted to get opinions from members of the list.  
I'm not sure I need a K1-2 or K1-4.  I was thinking
that 20 and 40 meters would probably be my choice of
bands with a K1-2.  Is there a lot of activity on 15,
17 or 30 meters to warrant the K1-4?  I want to use
the radio for portable use.
