My $0.02.

Why don't 3 or 4 K2/100 hams get together and act as net controllers (to =
alternate each week). Set up a schedule (1900-2000Z, Sun) and begin holdi=
ng a net. "If you build it. They will come. - Field of Dreams." It has to=
 be there first and it has to have some organization (i.e.: net controlle=
r and schedule). Pattern it after the Ten-Tec Users Net on 20m/40m. (actu=
ally I think 20m would be better than 17m but I can do either). We can ev=
en call it the Elecraft Users Net and discuss things like what rig we hav=
e (even invite those lowly non K-rig'ers <g>), what options they have, wh=
at antenna they're using, etc. Maybe have a guest speaker (for VERY super=
ficial Q&A) if things start doing well, like Wayne, Eric, or some other k=
nowledgeable 'Crafters like the Ron's, Don's, Tom's, and Lyle's, et al.

But to start this off right, we'll need 3 or 4 K2/100 (even a kW wouldn't=
 hurt) volunteers to step up to be net controllers, first. Pick a day. Pi=
ck a time. Pick a frequency. And let us know - we will come!
