[Elecraft] KNB2? questionable operation

Having had the K2 with the KNB2 for only a few weeks I can't say I have had 
a thorough test of the Noise Blanker but so far I can not find any situation 
where the KNB2 has provided any discernable help, to the point that I don't 
think it is functioning at all. (I acknowledge the atmospheric vs man-made 
noise, etc)

Any quick suggestions to check for problems in the KNB2?
