Looking at the Z-11 manual, I see no provisions for remotely 
controlling the tuner, so on a band change the Z-11 will need to told 
to retune. It is fairly easy to have a computer tell the K2 to enter 
tune mode, as long as the KIO2 is installed. Simply have it send a 
'Tune' key emulation command, which is essentially the same as 
holding the TUNE button on the K2's front panel.

I doubt you will be able to duplicate the operation of the KAT2 tuner 
with the Z-11 because of the lack of control ability on the Z-11.
