[Elecraft] How to manually activate a Z11 if run remote via Marote or PC based remote K2 programs ?

Dear Elecraft list,

Does anyone have an idea on how to activate a Z11 while running a K2 via 
one of the remote programs (K2 Remote, Marote, or KE6D remote s'ware) ? 

I would prefer NOT to leave the Z11 in autotune all the time while running 
remote, instead activate selectively as needed.  This is doable from a 
Pegasus, certainly thought I could do so from a K2 as well.
