[Elecraft] letters in the frequency display

dont ask why i did this.  curiousity killed the cat. anyway with dons =
help i have the 160option installed i dialed all the way down till i hit =
letters on the freqeuncy readout.  i mean after 0000000.00 it starts =
over with 1999999.9 (not the exact amount of numbers bear with me) then =
h99999 then e9999999 then d b a p till u get to a dash mark a equals =
sign a lower dash then an L another dash then finnally numbers again and =
then back to the 160 band i remember reading that if your on a =
transverter band (which i dont have any by the way) the first number of =
the band your own is implied. meaning 146.520 on 2 meters would look =
like 46.520, someone correct me if im wrong.  if you dont believe me you =
can do like me and goto 160 if you have it installed and spend roughly =
30 min dialing backwards.  im thinking maybe the firmware had memory for =
more bands if needed???????  now that ive done this i must know what it =
means inquiring minds wanna know.
