Image rejection is not the problem.
The big problem with putting a K1 or K2 on 60 meters is IF
feedthrough/rejection. On other bands the selectivity of the signal-frequency
tuned circuits can be counted on to knock down the IF feedthrough somewhat,
but with the IF on 4.915 and the signal on, say, 5.2, most of the job has to
be done by the inherent rejection of the balanced mixers. Which may or may
not be adequate for the job.
You can be sure that if it can be done, the folks in Aptos will figure out
how to do it.
