I set up mine for 700 Hz - and it is a matter of personal preferance. I had
previous experience with a TS-870 set at 700, and I think a T-T Scout which was
the same... I used Spectrogram to configure the CW filters for 2000, 1000, 500,
and 200 Hz. The 2000 was tuned for 0-2000 Hz, and the other three (1000, 500,
200) were all centered on 700 Hz.
