1. He won't have the moolah for the 'wild, wild, women' if he buys a K2  :-)
2. Tell her that the WWW usually don't like the smell of solder fumes.
3. Ask her to use her fine motor skills to help you wind the toriods
4. Tell her that she gets sole ownership of the TV remote

And any other excus.... ahem!  logical reasons you can think of...
