[Elecraft] Resistance checks J1-J5

Your DVM may be indicating an "overload" reading by doing nothing.
Overload in the sense that the resistance is greater than the range you
have set (or that the auto-ranging will provide). If that is the case,
than you are indeed reading greater than 1 M. My DVM simply reads "3."
with an arrow facing right which indicates such an overload. You might
check out your DVM instructions to see how it displays resistances
higher than its readable range. Or find and measure a large value
resistor (say 10+ meg) to observe what the indications are. I suspect
you are OK.

Subject: [Elecraft] Resistance checks J1-J5
Hi all,
The resistance check for J1 through J5 should read "greater than 1M"
(page 27). But My DVM does not read anything, is that the same as
"greater than 1M. Looking at the schematic, I don't see where there
should be any resistance to ground anyway. Reading across J1 &J2 I can
see the value change as the pot is adjusted so the solder joints are ok.
All other readings are in spec. As this is the second time I am asking
for advise, it looks like a loooong build ahead. (but it's fun).
Thanks,
Charles, KC9DAO, #3346
