[Elecraft] KDSP2 and KNB2 together

Hello,
I was wondering if the esteemed field testers tried combinations of the
noise reduction filtering in the DSP with the analog noise blanker. I wasn't
sure if the combination would play together well or if that might be too
much signal manipulation. If it's better to use one or the other, then I
would think the analog noise blanker might still be the preferred method for
some repetitive noise, allowing the DSP to concentrate on bandpass,
auto-notching etc.. Any thoughts?

p.s. A little off-topic question: I am moving back to "9-land" Indiana at
the end of this month so my callsign will be legitimate :) (Well the real
reason is opening a hobby shop) Anyway, I have heard comments made on
reflectors about 9-land being an "RF black hole". Has anyone else heard this
and have any word on if there is some truth and if so, why? I am trying to
understand propagation better, but my memory is such these days that I have
to keep relearning the same information :)
