[Elecraft] DSP - some questions Eric? Wayne?

I read the technical article and the product description of the DSP. It's above my head. So......

1 - How much noise would such a unit add to my K2?
2 - Can it be totally disengaged at will - so you have no DSP noise?
3 - If you are primarily a cw op - is the KAF2 filter a better choice?
4 - What is the answer to the return/credit/exchange question for unbuilt KAF2's that were bought not knowing the DSP module would come out?
