[Elecraft] K2 transverters

I'm curious about how hot these get.  The 25 watt transverters from Downeast
Microwave all have large external heat sinks:

I also wonder how hard it would be to get panel-mount N connectors 
with the same mounting screw pattern to replace the UHF connector.
