[Elecraft] Back from Mt. Palomar...

I was also amazed at WA8ZBT! I gave him a 599 (judging by ear as my K1
doesn't have a useful s-meter) When I heard the 8 call I thought he was a
local -- I was pretty amazed to copy TX 500mW!

I managed 14 QSO during the sprint -- I was held back more by my poor code
copy that the equipment or band conditions. I passed my 20wpm 12 years ago
then hardly had time to get on the air so I need to get more practice to
keep up with most of the folks I heard during the sprint.

I also worked K0EVZ twice during the sprint -- once on 20 once on 40. I
didn't try 15 meters as 20 was really active -- only jumped down to 40 for
the last 15 minutes of the sprint.

I had hoped to work you while you were at Palomar and did keep an ear out
for your call around the QRP freqs but had no luck -- maybe next time!

Sounds like you had a good time despite the rain.
