Dear Kenneth,
Several on this list have pointed out the utility of a case available at
the nearby Lowes or Home Depot back on the shelves with the tool boxes of
various sizes. I looked into it and I bought one last year. For about
$20, look for a metal sided attache style tool case. Internally, the case
has several movable dividers. In it I can easily store my K2, key,
paddles, mic, 7aH gel cell, log book, and a few tools. A small wire
antenna could also be stored in it. It comes with a chunk of embossed
foam so you can customize a padded insert by picking out little squares of
the foam material.
Not waterproof like the Pelican, but also not nearly as expensive.
73,
Steve

Subject: [Elecraft] K2 carrying case?
If I were to get a carrying case for my K2/100 (so I can drag it
off to multi-op contests, to radio club meetings, etc. without
worrying about it) what should I be looking for?
What size of Pelican case might work well?
Is there something else I should be looking at?
