A commercial way of handling smaller wires being put into a larger
receptacle is to put a copper sleeve, or short tube over the wire, then
crimp the whole assembly.

However, if your wire is very much smaller than your power pole, consider
using the correct wire size for that power pole.  You will have lower loss
in the length of cable, and a more durable connection.  Many rigs come with
DC wiring that is marginal at best, and many hams skimp on having enough
ampacity in their wire connections forgetting the voltage drop from even 20
feet of wire, is double for you have the positive drop and the negative drop
to consider.
