[Elecraft] What film?

I am building K2 #3346.
the instructions say there is a protective film on the front of the LCD =
and may have protective film on the back.
I don't think there is a film on either front or back, is this possible. =
 The back has a hard to remove white covering.
I tried to lift one corner, because it does not come off easily, I do =
not think it is what they are talking about.
