I've just been comparing my PLL (and BFO) modified K2 for frequency
error/drift.
After adding the BFO mod a few weeks ago, the error over 90 minutes on
29.000 MHz was:
Start 30 mins 60 mins 90 mins
+253 +153 +124 +110
That was measured in normal shack temperatures of around 18 to 20 degrees C.
After adding the PLL modification and re-running CAL PLL, the errors on 29
MHz are:
Start 30 mins 60 mins 90 mins
-44 -5 +8 +13
The error read +15 Hz some 3 hours later.
Errors measured on all bands this morning (after 30 mins warm up) are:
1.8 MHz -11 Hz
3.5 MHz -11 Hz
7 MKz -17 Hz
10 MHz -21 Hz
14 MHz -16 Hz
18 MHz -30 Hz
21 MHz +5 Hz
24 MHz +3 Hz
29 MHz -5 Hz
These were measured on transmit with reference to an off-air standard locked
to MSF on 60 KHz, feeding a Racal 9916 counter.
