bout the holes in my k2 for the transverter.  i looked at some tentec =
transverter kits and down east microwave but its not clear to me at =
least what goes in these holes or if they even use them.  if i get a =
transverter do they give me something that goes inside my k2 as well as =
the box on the outside? or does elecraft give me somtihing that goes =
inside my k2.  by the way everyone i made my first successfull contact =
using a homemade dipole antenna strung up between 2 trees bout 60 feet =
apart!  i talked a FISTS station up in skokie IL from West Orange TX =
using 11watts(for all hardcore qrpers im sorry but i wanted to make sure =
i was heard for my first contact).  this is how prepared i was i brought =
pen but no paper because i have little faith in my code reading ability =
and absolutely none at all in the antenna i just threw that thing =
together out of wire i got from radio shack. so i ended up having to =
tear open an MRE(meal ready to eat)and write on the cardboard. =20
