[Elecraft] Loss of Sidetone

Hi all,

I was putting in the last few options in my K2 and somewhere along the =
way I lost my sidetone.  I've followed the troubleshooting in the back =
of the manual and found that steps 1 thru 6 looked good.  At step 7 is =
where the fun began. I found no ac voltage at all.  I verified slightly =
over 5 volts dc on U8 pin 1 as the manual suggests.  I immediately =
thought that Q5 was defective but now that I've changed it out, and it =
still doesn't work, I'm at a loss for an answer.  I've done the standard =
visual inspection and that didn't turn up anything.  I also checked =
continuity and solder connections for the associated RPs and resistor.  =
