[Elecraft] Anyone using a Heathkit SB-200 with K2/100

I suggest you take a look at Harbach electronics
/www.harbachelectronics.com/. They have a lot of mods for the SB 200
and other amps as well. A couple of years ago I refurbished my SB200
with the complete set of mods, including the power supply, soft start
and soft key. You can do that or get only what you want and need. If
your amp is of original vintage, it might not be a bad idea to consider
something like that. Frankly the supply board and components are much
superior to the Heath originals. While I purchased my parts kit just
before Mr. Harbach passed away, his company was purchased by a ham in
Indiana who seems not only to have maintained but improved the line.
Since an unmodified SB200's keying line has 130 volts negative at 3
amps, I would definitely either get the Harbach soft key kit or build
something along the lines suggested by others here on the list.

I'm planning to use a newly acquired Heathkit SB-200 amplifier with my
K2/100. Is anyone on the group doing this? Any special tips on I
should go
about doing this? Thanks.
