[Elecraft] K2: Headphone Jack failure

Has anyone had any experience with the headphone jack failing?  Actually,
what is happening is that the headphone jack works fine .... but when I pull
the plug out I get no audio in the speaker.  I would guess that the little
switch in the plug has failed.  I am not looking forward to the possibility
of trying to remove and replace J2 ... any suggestions?  Is it "repairable"
rather than replaceable?
