Hi Roland! 
     Look on the KNB2 manual near the end of the manual.  It gives the mod to 
prevent some of this distortion.  Something about a 33 pF capacitor between 
pins 
7 & 8 on the MC1350 IC.  I have done this mod & it definitely helps. Take
