Hi Gang,
Thanks for all of the recommendations for logging software! I spent all
day yesterday and half of today downloading and evaluating them to find
one that fit what I needed. Some of the programs are very sophisticated,
but some what cumbersome to use, and not really what I was looking for.
Also, a lot of them were rater rigid in what you can display on the log
page and don't allow you to configure your own page. The program that I
picked is N3FJP's ACLog found at: http://www.n3fjp.com/. It's very
simple to use and has 4 columns that you can label yourself and track
different things with. I found it very easy to set up. You can even
define exactly how the screen looks and what you want to enter into the
log as you make a contact. I thought it was very well thought out. I'll
be sending my order for it tonight ($15). I may end up getting his
entire suite of programs though for $49 which I think is a great deal.
BTW second place was Logger. Looks nice, and may be a bit more flexible
when the 32 bit version comes out. Thanks again for all of the input
guys!
