I just wanted to agree with Earl. I like "Logger". It tracks an awful lot
of stuff for you. And you can log FISTS and K1/K2 serial numbers in the
Comments area. But.... I don't think you can search the Comments to see
if you have worked a particular number.

I keep track of these numbers in a separate excel spread sheet. I can
search it easily enough.

stuff like Fists' numbers, Elecraft serial numbers, etc."

By far the best freeware program for Windows is "Logger", available for
download at http://www.qsl.nat/kc4elo/logger.htm.

It is not only a log, it can also work with DX packet clusters, track
ARRL DXCC awards, CQ WAZ awards, QSLs sent/rcvd, and a number of other
useful goodies. If your radio has an I/O port (KIO2 or KPA100) , you can
set it up so the the log is automatically on the band and mode that your
radio is on, so there's no need to manually log those parameters. It
even has something like GeoClock, whereby you can view the sunrise/sunset
terminator on the Earth's surface (very useful to 160m and 80m DXers).
You can track FISTS numbers, etc., in the "comments" column of the log.
