Lee....Its not that the schools don't want to teach RF engineering but that
the students want to go where the money is at: DIGITAL! So do the schools
want the money....and, if you think RF design is dying art, what about AC
power distribution systems?! I worked at the California ISO in Folsom
(until I got laid off) and there's not that many power-distribution system
engineers with a lot of experience left - they're all getting old, I mean
real old....HI! Try and convince some young guy to take high-voltage AC
design over a glamorous, high-paying career in digital design.....well, good
luck!
Anyway, we're getting the Elecraft reflector off track as usual....
