[Elecraft] DSP, design advances, and the open mind!

This is an interesting disucssion. What concerns me is where are RF Engineers coming from? Who teaches RF engineering anymore? I think a lot of Universities are teaching digital electronics and RF Engineering (analog) is becoming a lost art. Then who is teaching them about them about the state of the art when it comes to SSB, or CW. Where are the designers coming not only for HF but for VHF and higher frequencies? I guess they are out there...because of all the 2.4 Gig and above equipment being built right now...either that...or one guy is getting rich.
Your mileage my vary.....
