[Elecraft] K2OOL Beta Testing - end of day report

Folks,

I'ts been a hectic day at the coalface!

A couple of people managed to cycle their K2 thru all the tests, but the
majority of testers have come across problems in running K2OOL.

These problems seemed to boil down to:

1. A bug in checking RANT and SPLT menu displays which is now fixed in the
latest release on the website.
2. Apparent variations in response times from the K2, especially just after
a band change, causing time-out problems in the program.

At this point I propose to concentrate on working with the testers who are
currently experiencing timeout problems to try and resolve the issue. This
may take several iterations of software to get it right, and I will try to
resolve this in the next 24 hours or so. I'm very much dependent on the time
and patience of the testers, and so I must publicly thank them them for the
work they have been doing!

If other testers want to try out the latest release, then fine, but be aware
that what is on the website might well be updated in the next 24 hours or
so.
