Hey Gang:
Greeting from Louisiana, home of JAZZ and James Brown, K5JAZ (thanks, Rod
and Colin).
Really enjoyed the EQP. I, like others, monitored the SSB frequencies but
didn't hear a single EQP'er. Worked strictly CW at 5 watts. Antennas used
were a 88 foot doublet (14Mhz EDZ) and a Gap Titan. Made DX contacts with
KP4/WB8ICN, VE1RGB and HB9DCL. Notable stateside contacts were with K6III,
N0RC, K0EVZ, K6SE, and last but certainly not least, WA6HHQ (K2 #2). Somehow
I managed to miss K2 #1... Loudest signal on the band was definitely K6SE.
For future EQPs, I would like to see seperate SSB and CW contests. That
would perhaps get the K2 ops to try out that nifty SSB2.
Thanks to everyone involved in making the EQP happen, and to all
participants.
