[Elecraft] EQP Soapbox/Summary

Hey Gang:

Greeting from Louisiana, home of JAZZ and James Brown, K5JAZ (thanks, Rod
and Colin).

Really enjoyed the EQP. I, like others, monitored the SSB frequencies but
didn't hear a single EQP'er. Worked strictly CW at 5 watts. Antennas used
were a 88 foot doublet (14Mhz EDZ) and a Gap Titan. Made DX contacts  with
KP4/WB8ICN, VE1RGB and HB9DCL. Notable stateside contacts were with K6III,
N0RC, K0EVZ, K6SE, and last but certainly not least, WA6HHQ (K2 #2). Somehow
I managed to miss K2 #1... Loudest signal on the band was definitely K6SE.

For future EQPs, I would like to see seperate SSB and CW contests. That
would perhaps get the K2 ops to try out that nifty SSB2.

participants.
